There are multiple factors which are critical to increasing the level of engagement and performance within an organisation. They certainly start at the top of the house, with great leadership encompassing clear purpose, goals, strategy and values. On a daily basis, however, these fundamentals are translated into performance at the grass roots of an organisation by great managers.

It is unlikely that any one event, or moment in time, defines the engagement of a typical employee. Our experience begins long before we join a firm and will continue way after we leave. A fully integrated employee lifecycle measurement programme helps organisations understand the impact of one moment upon another.

The employee experience doesn’t happen once-a-year and therefore neither should the feedback you gather on it. ENGAGE has developed an integrated measurement platform which allows clients to deploy automated, event-driven and self-service Pulse surveys across their organisation in a light-touch, fast-turnaround and yet fully customised format. This allows clients to get the right feedback at the right time and make informed, ongoing, iterations to their strategies and activities.

Organisations that embrace the strategic value of effective leadership and employee engagement unlock the potential of their people to drive performance and achieve their organisational goals. An effective engagement strategy should be fully integrated with your overarching business strategy.

Learning from best practice is crucial in driving sustainable improvements. Many organisations focus on what people outside their organisations are doing to increase leadership effectiveness and employee engagement. However, our data shows that it is actually more beneficial to focus on learning from internal best practice - what is already working well inside the organisation.

“Culture eats strategy for breakfast” – Peter Drucker. At ENGAGE, we believe an organisation’s culture is the most effective route to organisational success. You might have the world’s best mission, vision and strategy. But if you don’t have the right culture, values and behaviours to support the delivery of them, you won’t succeed.

ARROW

To drive effective leadership and employee engagement you need to understand the relationship between the entire employee experience, across the full lifecycle, and the other key performance indicators within your organisation. This integrated insight tells us not only how to manage key people outcomes (retention, productivity, innnovation etc.) but also how these impact your customer experience and the overall performance of the organisation.
