Andy is the co-founder and CEO of ENGAGE. He has worked for ENGAGE since 2008 and, in 2013, co-led an MBO of the firm.
Andy leads all of our strategic work with senior executives and heads our Leadership practice. He works with CEOs, boards and executive teams in FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 firms, as well as with a range of fast-growing entrepreneurial start-ups.
Prior to this, Andy worked in the research and consulting industry for 25 years. He was previously a Partner at Mercer Consulting, a Global Practice Leader at The Empower Group (the strategic consulting division of Manpower), Managing Director of YouGov Consulting and Head of Research at The Gallup Organization.
Andy holds a doctorate in survey analytics from the University of Oxford where he also obtained his undergraduate degree in PPE and an MSc. in sociological research and statistics. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University.
Andy is married to Sarah, has two teenage children (Daisy and Joey), plus one permanently sleeping cat, Marple and lives in Blackheath, London. He is a long-suffering Sunderland fan (by reason of birth, rather than choice) and is still learning to play the drums.
Sarah is the co-founder and Managing Director at ENGAGE. Previously Head of Research and Analytics, she has been with ENGAGE since 2008 and, in 2013, co-led an MBO of the Research and Consulting division of the firm. She started her career at YouGov Plc where she worked within the social and political research team, the CEO’s innovation unit and the organisational research and consulting team.
With over 15 years of experience in employee engagement research, Sarah has worked on a wide variety of large-scale UK and international programmes with clients including A&O, Aviva, ABI, BBC, BDO, BT, Camelot, Centrica, Co-op, Diageo, Direct Line Group, Ernst & Young, First Group, G4S, Grant Thornton, HBO, innocent, McCain, Merlin Entertainments, Microsoft, Moss Bros, MSCI, Musgrave Group, O2, Sainsbury’s, Standard Chartered, Travis Perkins Group, Vodafone and Zurich.
At ENGAGE, Sarah has the enviable role of the day-to-day management of the business, leading on L&D to ensure we really unlock the potential of our talented team, driving our innovation programme and, as a priority, working directly with a range of clients to develop the best solutions to their engagement challenges. Sarah’s expertise is in designing effective feedback programmes through which to deliver action-oriented, business-focused engagement research and advice.
Sarah has an MA in International Governance & Public Policy and a BA in Politics & Philosophy, both from the University of Manchester. In her spare time, Sarah is most at home by the sea. She tries to stay fit (on a bicycle these days) but only really as a necessary response to her love of fine wine and cheese!
Sean is a highly experienced specialist in leadership assessment and development, and in employee engagement and experience. He has a strong commercial background, a passion for developing people and organisations, and a track record of driving results at all levels, from board directors to frontline employees.
Sean has particular expertise in management consulting, employer value proposition development, human capital management, client relationship management and leadership development. He joined ENGAGE from IPSOS Mori where he headed up their UK Employee Engagement business. Prior to that, he led the EMEA Consulting Function for IBM Kenexa, focusing on Employee Engagement and Leadership assessment and development for blue-chip clients including GSK, Jaguar LandRover, Lloyds Banking Group, Moeller-Maersk, Nokia Siemens, RBS and Thales.
Sean has experience of working in the US as head of the Kenexa Leadership Function, as well across Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australia. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies and Diplomas in Marketing and Market Research, and is a member of the MRS, the IDM and the CIM.
Married with four children, Sean enjoys living near the sea, keeping fit and following local sporting teams, even when they aren’t doing well.
Xanthe is an Associate Director at ENGAGE, specialising in employee engagement and experience.
Prior to working at ENGAGE Xanthe worked for ENGINE as a Senior Consultant. Xanthe was the lead insight consultant for a large range of clients from both the Public and Private sector and was also responsible for the management and successful delivery of employee experience projects. Before this she worked at Mercer (Sirota) as an Associate Consultant.
Xanthe holds an MSC in Occupational Psychology from Goldsmiths University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Nottingham. She is fascinated by human behaviour and is passionate about helping organisations understand their people and to develop in a way that allows them to become the best they can be. She is also interested in leadership, wellbeing and what makes a high performance culture.
Outside of ENGAGE, Xanthe’s main interest is music. As a semi-professional singer, her greatest achievement to date was singing with Pink at the Brit Awards!
As the Business Manager at ENGAGE Kate looks after the smooth running of the business on a day-to-day basis. She manages all our administration, financial operations, office management and supplier relations and previously worked in a similar role at Edelman, the world’s largest independent PR firm.
Prior to this, Kate worked in the events and the music festival industry for five years. She held the position of Head of UK Press and Marketing for Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, and Communications Assistant for all other music festivals organised by Vince Power; projects and events which took place in both the UK and Europe.
Kate holds a BA (Honours) in Photography from Nottingham Trent University, and with her keen design eye, heads up our marketing, design and innovation projects.
Outside of ENGAGE Kate is a trustee for her local soup kitchen charity and is a keen runner – she can be spotted jogging the streets of Walthamstow on most weekends.
George is the Research Manager at ENGAGE and is responsible for the delivery of research projects across ENGAGE’s client portfolio. George is particularly skilled in the technical delivery of projects across the Engagement practice, supporting clients including CMC Markets, Direct Line Group, Discovery, Greensill, HBO, London Fire Brigade, LV, MSCI and Ornua.
Before joining ENGAGE, George studied Psychology at the University of Leeds. He then completed an MSc in Business Psychology, also at Leeds, delivering a research project for Arup for his dissertation.
Outside of work, George’s main interest is sport. He is a keen Manchester United fan and an avid basketball and American football armchair spectator.
Bianca has recently started an internship with ENGAGE as a Research Executive. In this role, she will be assisting in the delivery of high-quality research for clients, and contributing to all phases of the delivery process.
Before joining ENGAGE, Bianca studied Psychology at the University of Exeter. She then went on to work at PAM Insight as a Research Associate, where she focused on compiling and analysing data, and conferring with clients about their company statistics and information.
Outside of ENGAGE, Bianca enjoys her hobby as a photographer and is never seen without a camera in her hand. She can also often be seen on various nature trails and hikes, or baking delicious treats for everyone.
As a Research Executive intern, Luke supports the ENGAGE team with the delivery of client research and is involved in every phase of the research process.
Luke studied Mathematics at the University of Sheffield before taking a different path and achieving an MA in Philosophy, for which his dissertation compared the effectiveness of Utilitarian vs Retributivist justice systems.
Outside of work, Luke is a keen sports fan who supports (or endures!) Arsenal. He spends his downtime enjoying and creating music and is no happier than when spending the summer in a field somewhere at various festivals.
Andy brings rich experience as an award-winning international HR, learning, talent and organisational development leader, having held senior roles at The Rank Group, the BBC, Hewlett Packard, BDO and latterly as Global Director of Learning and Organisational Development at Xchanging.
During his career, Andy has pioneered the introduction of technology-enabled learning and built a reputation for implementing high impact and innovative development solutions. His unique approach to leadership and management development ensures that business benefit is always at the forefront of the design process and, through the learning and coaching activities he has led, can point to millions of pounds worth of added business value.
Andy has also led significant improvement in employee engagement in several blue-chip organisations and has run many successful organisational change programmes and integrations to support business growth.
Andy is a qualified Team Performance Coach, a Fellow of The Learning and Performance Institute and accredited in many psychometric tools. In his consulting career, he has developed a real interest in team development, working with executive teams, functional teams and management teams across sectors such as technology, professional services, financial services, hospitality and media, applying his own bespoke process to improve performance every time.
Andy loves loud music and great food (in that order). He lives in a 400-year-old house in Buckinghamshire and has a frustrating lack of DIY capability.
Anuj is experienced in both the development and implementation of ERP business solutions for large multi-national organisations in both the private and public sector.
With a background working at a range of software vendors, Anuj has almost 16 years’ experience working with end clients to deploy a range of business-led technology solutions. Clients include organisations across multiple sectors such as retail and corporate banking, human resources, Automotive, Education, insurance, high tech and consultancies.
Since joining Confirmit, Anuj has worked with a number of our leading clients to help deliver successful technology and methodology partnerships in both the short and long term. Recent projects have included: working with a leading European company that provides computer services to public- and private-sector customers to deliver an End User Feedback solution; the deployment of a international project which covered 28 languages across 18 countries and 7 Business Streams and a feedbackack program running accross the customer journey allowing for a priortisation process to be implented to ensure lower sample volume areas were surveyed
Henry is highly experienced in both the development and implementation of Confirmit solutions for large and multi-national organisations.
With a background working at a range of telecoms and software vendors, Henry has almost 20 years’ experience leading teams and working with end clients to deploy a range of business-led technology solutions. Clients include organisations across multiple sectors such as retail and corporate banking, human resources, insurance, high tech and consultancies.
Since joining Confirmit, Henry has worked with a number of our leading clients to help deliver successful technology and methodology partnerships in both the short and long term. Recent projects have included: working with a leading retail bank to deliver an FCA-regulated feedback solution; multiple deliveries of NPS-based projects to retail banking clients across Europe and North America; and the implementation of a global solution for a leading training organisation, supporting 43 languages in 121 countries.
Nicola is a marketing consultant and runs her own business, Lockyer Marketing. She works with ENGAGE to deliver our corporate marketing plan, which includes creating and sharing thought leadership content, supporting our events calendar, extending our social media reach and working with Kate on a range of web and corporate initiatives.
A motivated and proactive B2B marketer, Nicola has extensive strategic, budget and project management experience but remains fully ‘hands-on’ to ensure work gets delivered and is tracked from inception to completion. Particularly skilled in content marketing and copy writing, Nicola translates business features and functions into written material and digital content that engages customers and prospects across a range of media.
Nicola has delivered a wide range of strategic marketing projects for organisations across the technology, telecoms, customer experience, employee experience, digital marketing and public sectors. Prior to establishing Lockyer Marketing, Nicola developed her skills through a range of senior PR agency and in-house roles, most recently at Confirmit. She is equally at home working on focused, individual projects, or across teams and departments at a global, national and local level.
Outside of work, Nicola has two daughters and has therefore had no choice but to become a fan of Little Mix, the Kardashians and all sorts of awful reality television.
Pete has over 25 years of organisational development experience, working successfully across a wide range of sectors and cultures at country, international and group level. He currently owns and runs two consultancies, Advance 63 and his new venture TEAMFIT which focuses on developing exceptional team performance – a powerful yet rare commodity.
Pete previously held roles of Director of Leadership & Talent at BT Group, Head of Group Organisational Capability at TfL, Head of People & Organisational Development at Novartis and European Development Manager for a GE business. He has consulted with clients organisations in the oil and gas, professional services, financial services, retail and healthcare industries.
Having worked across very different environments, Pete has gained a vast range of experience helping teams and organisations improve their capability and performance through focused organisational development, leadership, talent and cultural change interventions. Passionate about adding value through insights and innovative thinking, Pete is business focused with a style that is both engaging and challenging. With a natural ability to build strong relationships, he works both strategically and operationally to deliver real business value.
Pete has an MSc in Organisational and People Development from Roffey Park/Sussex University.
